Professional Soda Tap Installation Australia-Wide
Once you've chosen the Soda Tap system that suits your home or workplace, Awesome Water can help organise professional installation.
Our aim is to make the process as straightforward as possible by connecting customers with experienced plumbing partners who can install and commission compatible Awesome Water® Soda Tap systems.
Standard installation is available within approximately 50km of major Australian cities. If you are outside these areas, please contact Awesome Water before purchasing installation so we can confirm availability.
What's Included in Standard Installation?
Residential or Commercial Installation & Commissioning
Professional installation and commissioning of your Awesome Water® Soda Tap system within approximately 50km of a major Australian city.
Shelving Modifications Where Required
Where necessary, shelving may be cut or modified to accommodate the STM1 under-bench machine.
The installation plumber will select an appropriate tool and aim to achieve the cleanest result possible. The final appearance can vary depending on cabinetry, available space and site conditions.
Drilling Through Laminate or Timber Benchtops
Where required, drilling through laminate or timber benchtops can be included for installation of a 3-in-1 Soda Tap system.
Connection to Water and Power
Standard installation includes connection to suitable existing power and water services located within approximately 1 metre of the STM1 under-bench unit.
What's Not Included?
Standard installation does not include:
- Additional or non-standard plumbing fittings
- Additional electrical work
- Additional water supply work
- Non-standard installation requirements
- Re-attendances caused by site conditions or incomplete preparation
- Drilling through stone benchtops
If your installation requires work outside the standard scope, additional costs may apply. We recommend discussing any unusual site conditions with Awesome Water before installation.
What About Stone Benchtops?
Drilling through stone benchtops is not included in the standard installation service.
For many 5-in-1 installations, additional drilling may not be required because the Soda Tap generally replaces the existing kitchen tap and the existing tap hole can often be reused.
The 3-in-1 Soda Tap is generally installed alongside the existing kitchen tap. In some installations, a separate approximately 26–30mm hole may need to be prepared before the plumber arrives.
Where stone drilling is required, this can generally be organised through a suitably qualified stonemason.
Choosing Between the Soda Tap 3-in-1 and 5-in-1
Soda Tap 3-in-1
Provides:
- Filtered ambient water
- Filtered chilled water
- Filtered sparkling water
The 3-in-1 is generally installed alongside your existing kitchen tap.
Soda Tap 5-in-1
Provides:
- Filtered ambient water
- Filtered chilled water
- Filtered sparkling water
- Regular mains hot water
- Regular mains cold water
Only the ambient, chilled and sparkling water functions are filtered. The hot and cold functions use regular mains water.

Once your order arrives, contact the plumbing partner, quote your order number and arrange a suitable installation time.

Do I need professional installation for a Soda Tap?
Professional installation is recommended for Soda Tap systems because the equipment requires correct connection to water, power and under-bench components.
Is Soda Tap installation available Australia-wide?
Installation is available in many areas across Australia, with standard installation generally covering locations within approximately 50km of major cities. Contact Awesome Water before purchasing if you are outside these areas.
Is the free at-home demonstration available Australia-wide?
No. The free at-home Soda Tap demonstration service is currently available within the Sydney metropolitan area only.
Does the at-home demonstration include installation?
No. The demonstration is visual and informational only. No plumbing or installation work is carried out during the appointment.
Can I get an installation quote before purchasing?
Yes. Sydney customers using the at-home demonstration service can receive a free product quote and a free installation quote. Other customers can contact Awesome Water to discuss installation requirements.
Can the plumber drill through a stone benchtop?
Stone benchtop drilling is not included in the standard installation service. If a new hole is required in stone, this should generally be arranged separately with a suitably qualified stonemason.
Does a 5-in-1 Soda Tap normally need a new benchtop hole?
In many installations, the 5-in-1 replaces the existing kitchen tap and the existing hole can be reused. Final requirements depend on the individual installation.
Does a 3-in-1 Soda Tap require a separate hole?
The 3-in-1 generally works alongside the existing kitchen tap, so some installations may require an additional approximately 26–30mm benchtop hole.
