The 3-in-1 is generally installed alongside your existing kitchen tap.
Standard Soda Tap 5-in-1
Provides filtered ambient, filtered chilled and filtered sparkling water, plus regular mains hot and mains cold water.
In many installations, the 5-in-1 replaces the existing main kitchen tap.
Filtered Hot 5-in-1
Provides filtered hot, filtered chilled and filtered sparkling water, plus regular mains hot and mains cold water.
The filtered hot-water function uses the compact 2.5L Soda Tap Hot Pot installed beneath the sink.

Installing the Soda Tap Filtered Hot 5-in-1
The new Soda Tap Filtered Hot 5-in-1 adds filtered hot water to the Soda Tap system through a compact 2.5-litre under-sink Hot Pot.
The Hot Pot has an adjustable temperature range of 75°C to 98°C and requires a suitable standard 10-amp power outlet. The Hot Pot itself measures approximately 272 mm high × 193 mm wide, so available under-sink space should be considered when planning the installation.
When purchased as part of the Soda Tap system, the Hot Pot is supplied with the connection and installation kit required to integrate the filtered hot-water function with the system.

Installation requirements vary from property to property, so factors such as existing plumbing, electrical outlets, benchtop material, cabinetry and available under-sink space should always be considered.
What's Included in Standard Soda Tap Installation?
Residential or Commercial Installation & Commissioning
Professional installation and commissioning of your compatible Soda Tap system within approximately 50 km of a major Australian city.
Shelving Modifications Where Required
Where necessary, shelving may be cut or modified to accommodate the Soda Tap under-bench equipment.
The installation plumber will select an appropriate tool and aim to achieve the cleanest result possible. The final appearance can vary depending on cabinetry, available space and site conditions.
Drilling Through Laminate or Timber Benchtops
Where required, drilling through laminate or timber benchtops can be included for installation of a 3-in-1 Soda Tap system.
Connection to Suitable Existing Water & Power
Standard installation includes connection to suitable existing power and water services located within approximately 1 metre of the under-bench equipment.
What's Not Included in Standard Installation?
Standard installation does not include:
- Additional or non-standard plumbing fittings
- Additional electrical work
- Additional water supply work
- Non-standard installation requirements
- Re-attendances caused by site conditions or incomplete preparation
- Drilling through stone benchtops
If your installation requires work outside the standard scope, additional costs may apply. We recommend discussing unusual site conditions with Awesome Water before installation.
What Should I Check Before Soda Tap Installation?
Every kitchen and workplace is different. Before installation, it is useful to consider:
- Available under-sink cupboard space
- Existing hot and cold water connections
- Suitable power outlets near the under-bench equipment
- Your existing kitchen tap and tap-hole arrangement
- Whether the benchtop is laminate, timber, stone or another material
- Cabinet shelving that may need modification
- The Soda Tap configuration being installed
- Additional space required for the Hot Pot when choosing the Filtered Hot 5-in-1
Soda Tap Installation with Stone Benchtops
Drilling through stone benchtops is not included in the standard installation service.
For many 5-in-1 Soda Tap installations, additional drilling may not be required because the Soda Tap generally replaces the existing kitchen tap and the existing tap hole can often be reused.
The 3-in-1 Soda Tap is generally installed alongside the existing kitchen tap. In some installations, a separate approximately 26–30 mm hole may need to be prepared before the plumber arrives.
Where stone drilling is required, this can generally be organised through a suitably qualified stonemason.
