The Big Blue filtration systems are specifically designed to cater to areas where a high flow rate is needed, for example an entire house, industrial area or commercial zone. Installed on mains plumbing, potentially harmful contaminants are removed from all faucets/ showers throughout the premises, at up to 50 litres per minute, protecting tap washers, hot water systems and appliances.
The Aragon Big Blue 20" Triple Whole House/High Flow system features one of the latest technologies in water filtration, manufactured in Europe.
Three-stage filtration process
Stage 1 – Polyspun Sediment Pre-Filter
Made from spun bonded polypropylene, the manufacturing technique of these cartridges results in no centre core to the filter, thus not restricting the filter performance. The materials also provide a resilient barrier to bacterial/chemical influence – preventing any build of unwanted waste (e.g. algae).
These sediment filters are compatible with most liquids and are highly effective for sediment, rust, sand, silt, and algae removal.
Stage 2 – Aragon Filter Cartridge Made in Europe
Developed in Eastern Europe, this unique Aragon water filter cartridge is based on the innovative, patented Aragon Media. It has been extensively tested by Certified Laboratories in Europe, to effectively remove chemicals, pesticides, bacteria and heavy metals as well as sediment down to >2 microns.
Stage 3 – Aragon Filter Cartridge Made in Europe
The third stage filter serves as a final polishing filter, ensuring sweeter, great tasting water.
- Dimensions: 580W x 700H x 205D mm
- Max flow rate: 30 litres per minute
- Micron: 2 micron**
*Replacement of this cartridge is recommended approximately every 6-12 months, dependent on usage and the water quality.
**The micron rating of a filter cartridge determines the ability of the filter’s media to remove contaminants by the size of particles it is exposed to. For example, a filter that is marked or rated “10 micron” has some capability to capture particles as small as 10 micrometers. Although, the micron rating does not determine the exact efficiency of contaminant holding capability of the filter, it will help you determine which filter is most suitable according to your water supply.
